Ideas for using your elmo in the high school classroom.

  One of the best classroom sites ever is United Streaming.  You are able to search for videos linked to your state standards, grade level, and subject.  Once you find the video you will be given the option to download the whole thing or just the short section that you need in class.  It is a subscription service but many school districts are already members.  There are many great opportunities to explore within the website.  I love the assignment builder and the writing prompts.

  One way to help manage the watching of videos is to build a test that is to be answered at the end of class.  It is also a great way to start the process of note taking.

  Use the Elmo as a scanner.  It is a quick and easy way to take pictures of a project to build a stronger portfiolo.  All you need to do is put any item under the Elmo and take a picture.  That picture can then be stored as evidence of what the student has been working on.
